Cat Friendly Practice

Our Cat Friendly Practice

Cats and dogs are quite different animals, but many veterinary practices offer care for both at the same place. While this does offer convenience, cats are often not comfortable in an area with dogs. At Clevengers Corner Veterinary Care, our cat-friendly practice treats felines at our cat cottage. Our facilities and specially trained staff can set your cat at ease.

Why a Cat Cottage?

Cats were once viewed as small versions of dogs. As our scientific understanding has increased, cats have different needs than dogs. This includes behavioral, medical, and environmental needs.

In order to give cats the best possible care, a cat clinic was needed. Dogs and other animals can cause stress to cats, so the cottage is a cat only zone. Our facilities are designed with cat trees and other items to help set your cat at ease.

Focusing solely on felines also allows us to tailor our treatment and knowledge to cats. We specialize in learning and understanding cat behavior and physiology.

Wellness and Diagnostic Services Offered at our Cat Clinic

We offer an array of wellness and diagnostic services at our cat clinic.

These services include:

  • Wellness and sick exams
  • Lab tests
  • X-rays and ultrasound
  • Vaccines
  • Laser therapy

Sometimes a cat looks healthy, but they have behavioral problems. In addition to medical care, we offer treatment for behavioral problems. Behavioral problems can be the result of an underlying physical issue, or a problem with the cat's diet or environment.

We take a holistic approach to veterinary medicine and offer complimentary treatments as well. These include acupuncture and Chinese medicine. This allows us to give your cat the best possible care using different modalities.

Surgical Services Offered at our Cat Clinic

In addition to wellness and diagnostic services, we offer surgical services at the cat clinic. The most common surgical service performed is spay and neuter. We also offer treatment for orthopedic problems, bladder stone removal, and abdominal surgery. Our board-certified veterinary specialist can also provide other needed surgeries.

Wellness Plans

Veterinary treatment is important for your cat's health, but expenses can add up quickly. We make our services more accessible with wellness plans. Instead of paying for individual procedures, a wellness plan is paid monthly. The kitten plan includes all routine care you need for a kitten, including exams, vaccinations, and spay or neuter. For adult cats, we offer dental and senior plans.
